This Refund Policy describes when and how ReceiverX LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("ReceiverX," "we," "us," or "our"), issues refunds for paid subscriptions to the ReceiverX service. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable right you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
We aim to be straightforward and fair. If you have a problem, email us at info@receiver-x.com — we want to make it right.
1. Free Trial
New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is collected at signup, but no charge is made during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. Your first charge occurs automatically when the trial ends, as disclosed at signup.
2. Paid Subscriptions Purchased Directly
This section applies to paid plans purchased through our website (not the Apple App Store or Google Play). Website purchases are sold by our authorized reseller and merchant of record, Paddle (see Section 3.2 of our Terms of Service). Approved refunds under this policy are executed by Paddle to your original payment method.
2.1 All Charges Are Final
Once a charge has been made, it is non-refundable, except as provided in Section 2.4 (unintended auto-renewal), Section 4 (non-waivable statutory rights), Section 5 (service outages and material failures), or where a refund is otherwise required by applicable law. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
2.2 Monthly Plans
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable except as set out in Section 2.1. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing month, and you will retain access until that date.
2.3 Annual Plans
For annual subscriptions:
- We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of an annual term except where required by law.
- If you cancel, your access continues through the end of the prepaid term.
- We may, at our discretion, make exceptions in cases such as extended Service unavailability or a material breach of our Terms by us. See Section 5.
2.4 Auto-Renewal Charges
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. To avoid the next renewal, cancel before the renewal date. We send pre-renewal reminders for annual plans (15–45 days in advance) as described in Section 3.3 of our Terms.
If you are charged for a renewal you did not intend and contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge, we will, on a one-time basis per customer and provided you have not made significant use of the Service during that renewal period, refund the renewal in full. We comply with applicable auto-renewal laws, including the federal ROSCA statute (15 U.S.C. §8403), Section 5 of the FTC Act, California Business and Professions Code §§17600 et seq., and analogous state automatic-renewal laws.
2.5 Plan Downgrades and Upgrades
- Upgrades: When you upgrade mid-cycle, we apply a credit for the unused portion of your current plan toward the upgraded plan.
- Downgrades: Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not refund the price difference for the remainder of the cycle.
2.6 Enterprise Agreements
Refunds for Enterprise customers operating under a separate order form or master subscription agreement are governed by that agreement. If the agreement is silent, this Refund Policy applies.
3. Mobile App Subscriptions (Apple App Store / Google Play)
If you purchased a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. We are not able to process refunds for in-app purchases directly.
- Apple App Store: request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: request a refund at https://play.google.com/store under your subscription, or contact Google Play support.
If you are denied a platform refund and believe an exception is warranted, contact us and we will review on a case-by-case basis.
4. Statutory Withdrawal Rights
This section preserves your non-waivable consumer rights. To the extent any term in this policy conflicts with a non-waivable right you have under applicable law (including EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and similar legislation in your jurisdiction), the non-waivable right controls.
EU and UK consumers — Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer (a natural person acting outside your trade, business, or profession) in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with a 14-day right of withdrawal:
- You may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Because the Service is "digital content / online services," if you ask us to begin performance during the 14-day period and you expressly acknowledge that you will lose your withdrawal right once performance is complete (or, for ongoing services, that you will owe a proportionate amount for use up to the date of withdrawal), then those terms apply.
- To exercise withdrawal, contact info@receiver-x.com with your name, account email, and a clear statement that you are withdrawing. You may also use the EU model withdrawal form (Annex I to Directive 2011/83/EU); we will provide it on request.
Other jurisdictions. If your jurisdiction grants a longer or different statutory cooling-off, refund, or guarantee right (for example, the Australian Consumer Law's consumer guarantees or Brazil's CDC), that right applies in full.
5. Service Outages and Material Failures
If the Service experiences extended unavailability, a material breach of the Terms by us, or a confirmed defect that prevents you from using a feature you paid for, contact us. Remedies may include:
- Service credits applied to a future invoice;
- A pro-rated refund for the affected period;
- Termination of the affected subscription with a refund of any unused, prepaid amounts.
The exact remedy depends on the nature and duration of the issue. Where service-level credits are provided under an Enterprise order form, those credits are your sole and exclusive remedy under that order form for the covered downtime.
6. Refunds Are Not Available For
We generally do not refund:
- Charges older than 60 days, except as required by law or as expressly provided above.
- Subscriptions terminated by us for material breach of the Terms (including violations of the Acceptable Use section).
- Usage-based charges (such as overage fees) already incurred.
- Any portion of an Enterprise prepayment, unless otherwise agreed in the applicable order form.
- Taxes, where the applicable tax authority does not permit the tax to be refunded. (For website purchases, taxes are collected — and, where a refund is issued, refunded — by Paddle as merchant of record.)
These exclusions do not apply to non-waivable consumer rights or where refusal would breach applicable law.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email info@receiver-x.com with:
- Your account email and (if applicable) organization name.
- The transaction date and amount.
- A short description of the reason for the request.
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 15 business days. Approved refunds for website purchases are issued by Paddle, our merchant of record, to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback. For website purchases, the merchant of record on your card statement is Paddle ("PADDLE.NET"), and card disputes are adjudicated through Paddle; we work with Paddle to resolve them. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution. We will not penalize you for exercising a chargeback right that is granted by your card network or by law; however, while a chargeback is being adjudicated we may pause new charges to the disputed payment method until the dispute is resolved.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will not retroactively reduce your rights for purchases made before the change. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
